Artist of the day: Nicolò Granese / SEE FULL PORTFOLIO

Artwork: Jin – Cinematic character

HeaI worked on this head sculpt for a couple of days and decided to render it properly to do it justice.
Under the eyes, it says “非AI (hi-AI)”, which means “NO AI”, and “人力 (jinriki)”, which translates to “human strength” or “made with human effort only”.
(That’s what Google Translate says anyway — I don’t speak Japanese 😂).
The concept was probably made with AI, that’s why you can’t see it here. There’s no one to credit. I decided to recreate this artwork in 3D to highlight the difference between those who generate images with a few prompts and those who spend time and sleepless nights refining every detail, every rim light and every camera angle to make sure the result actually tells a story.
Put your soul into what you create, here you can find mine.
Workflow: Zbrush for sculpting, Maya for scene setup and V-ray for rendering. XYZ for skin details and Zbrush polypaint for texture fixing.

Software Used: Zbrush
